A family owned business founded in 1993 by Master Decorator Tony Dunne and his wife Sue, The Art of Decorating has continued to grow whilst retaining the commitment to personal service, attention to detail and a professional job that is right first time.
As a leading company in the painting and decorating industry, continuing success is underpinned by the dedication and expertise of our staff and the collaborative approach to projects. This ensures the very highest standards in technical service and complete client/resident care and satisfaction.

Quality control is an integral part of the Art of Decorating’s internal and external decorating operations process. At selected stages of each project The Art of Decorating will undertake a detailed quality audit and control procedure, utilising company produced quality control sheets. This ensures that the work undertaken is fully compliant with the agreed client specifications and the very highest standards set by The Art of Decorating for all its projects.

Our proven involvement in quality improvement process has enhanced our service to clients, the safety record of our projects, our adherence to required schedules and the overall value of our schemes.

We are audited annually by ICI Dulux Trade Contract Partners, CHAS, Constructionline, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

The Art of Decorating’s statement of General Policy:

To provide adequate control of the Health and Safety risks arising from our work activities

To consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety

To provide and maintain safe plant and equipment

To ensure safe handling and use of substances

To provide information, instruction and supervision for all employees

To ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks and to give them adequate training

To prevent accidents and cases of work related ill health

To maintain safe and healthy working conditions

To review and revise this policy as necessary or at annual interviews

Training – CSCS scheme. All employees are qualified card holders

All painters are minimum NVQ 2 qualification

All of the workforce is directly employed
